At the NCAA Division III Championships in Atlanta, GA over the weekend, Edgell earned three Honorable Mention All-American honors by competing in the consolation finals and finishing in the nation's top 16 of three events. The three awards doubled his All-American honors for his career. Edgell was also an Honorable Mention All-American in 1997 (200 free) and twice in 1998 (200 free and 200 IM).

Edgell took 13th in the 200 medley with a time of 1:54.59. He swam the 100 back in :52.25 to finish in 16th place and he took 15th in the 200 back with a time of 1:52.17.

This was Edgell's fourth trip to the NCAA Championships. He qualified every year of his Lake Forest career.
