EDGELL SELECTED TO GTE/COSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM      Lake Forest College junior Rob Edgell, a swimmer from Alsager, England, has been named to the 11-member 1999 GTE/COSIDA Academic All-District Five At Large Team.  He is now eligible for the GTE/COSIDA Academic All-America Team.
     Edgell is a three-time All-American (1997 200 free, 1998 200 free and 200 IM) and two-time (1997 and 1998) Midwest Conference Swimmer of the Year.  He holds the MWC and school record in seven events (100 fly, 200 fly, 200 IM, 200 back, 400 IM, 200 free relay, and 800 free relay) and is a 20-time MWC champion (9 individual and 11 relay events).  He has never lost an individual race at the conference meet and his relay teams have lost only once.  Edgell is also a two-time member (1998 and 1999) of the MWC All-Academic team and a 1997 and 1998 CSCAA Academic All-American.
