Maggie Rezac Earns ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Honors
Sophomore diver named to second team for District V College Division

LAKE FOREST, IL - ESPN The Magazine and the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2006 Academic All-District V College Division At-Large Teams on Thursday (May 25) and Lake Forest sophomore Maggie Rezac (Omaha, NE/Marian) was a Second Team selection. The Women’s At-Large category includes bowling, crew, fencing, golf, gymnastics, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, tennis, and water polo.

Rezac entered the second semester with a 3.81 cumulative grade point average and is working on a double-major in Biology and Psychology. She also received Academic All-Midwest Conference honors following the winter season.

The diver earned All-American honors in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events at the 2006 NCAA Division III National Championship Meet in March. She placed seventh off the 1-meter board with a score of 420.45 and eighth in the 3-meter competition with 425.50 points. She helped lead the Foresters to a tied-for-18th team finish at the meet. Rezac was also second off both boards at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet in February.

Last season Rezac was named MWC Female Diver of the Year after winning the 3-meter diving event and placing second off the 1-meter board. She also earned All-American honors by finishing sixth in the nation in 1-meter diving and 13th off the higher board.

Eleven individuals were named to the First Team and Rezac was one of nine to earn Second Team Academic All-District V College Division honors.
