Coaching Staff

Assistant Coach Michael Ojdana '08

Michael Ojdana is in his second season as the Foresters' assistant coach after an extremely successful swimming career at the College.

Ojdana was on the coaching staff of the Lake Forest Swim Club from October of 2005 to December of 2007 and worked with young swimmers (ages 5-10) during that time. He also spent the summer of 2006 as an assistant coach at the Terrace Park Country Club in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The 2008 graduate of the College became the second athlete in program history to be named the team's Most Valuable Swimmer each of his four seasons. Just four Foresters have claimed more than his 13 Midwest Conference championships, which include seven individual titles and six relay wins. Ojdana owns the conference record in the 500-freestyle (4:40.69) and 1,650-freestyle (16:18.24) and ranks first in team history in the 1,000-freestyle (9:52.75) and third in the 200-freestyle (1:43.45).

Ojdana was also a three-time Academic All-MWC honoree and earned Lake Forest's Senior Scholar-Athlete Award, given to the outgoing senior with the highest grade point average during his or her final three semesters at the College. In addition, he was the men's swimming & diving representative on the Foresters' All-Sportsmanship Team as a senior.

He is currently working toward a master's degree in digital cinema from DePaul University.
