Lake Forest Men and Women Fall at Carthage College
Derek Drayer, Chelsea Bueter, and Michael Ojdana each win once

Kenosha, Wis. - The Forester swimming & diving teams competed at Carthage College Friday (November 10) night. The Lady Reds defeated Lake Forest 103-67 while the Red Men came out on top 105-91. Both Forester squads are now 1-2 on the season.

Seniors Derek Drayer (Albuquerque, N.M./Eldorado) and Chelsea Bueter (Swisher, Iowa/Prairie) and junior Michael Ojdana (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) each won an event for the visitors. Drayer’s 50-freestyle time of 23.25 was 0.4 seconds better than the runner-up. With a time of 2:18.91, Bueter prevailed in the 100-individual medley by four seconds. Ojdana touched the wall first by more than 15 seconds in the 500-freestyle with a time of 4:57.75.

Runner-up finishes on the women’s side included senior Anne Haas (South Berwick, Maine/St. Thomas Aquinas) in the 1000 freestyle (11:51.12) and Bueter in the 100-backstroke (1:06.90).

Ojdana placed second in the 1000-freestyle (10:13.48) for the men, as did freshman Josh D’Angelo (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) in 200-freestyle (1:50.85) and 100-butterfly (55.85), Drayer in the 100-freestyle (52.59), and senior Nick Primrose (Mayfield, Ohio/Mayfield) in the 100-backstroke (1:00.82).

The Foresters will travel to UW-Whitewater Wednesday (November 15) evening for a 6:00 meet.
