Swett and Ojdana Named MWC Performers of the Week
Forester freshmen sweep league’s weekly awards 

  

Kendall Swett and Michael Ojdana were named the
first MWC Performers of the Week this season.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College freshmen Kendall Swett (Akron, OH/ Hawken) and Michael Ojdana (Cincinnati, OH/ St. Xavier) were named Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Performers of the Week on Tuesday (November 16) for their performances in the Foresters’ first few meets of the season.

Swett won both diving events in each of her first two collegiate meets. She posted 6-dive scores of 241.95 off the 1-meter board and 253.85 in the 3-meter competition in the women’s team’s season-opening double dual victory over both Lawrence University and Monmouth College on November 5. Five days later, she helped the squad win at UW-Whitewater with a score of 225.30 in the 1-meter event and a national meet-qualifying mark of 272.75 off the 3-meter board.

Ojdana recorded at least one victory in each of his first three collegiate meets. He touched the wall first in the 200-meter freestyle (2:04.47) in the season-opening double dual against Lawrence University and Monmouth College. He also placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle (10.35.02) at Carthage College the next day. Last Wednesday, he won both the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.46) and 500-yard freestyle (5:05.82) at UW-Whitewater. He also had both a second and third-place finish in each of the first two meets.
