Junior Maggie Rezac (Omaha, Neb./Marian) placed first and recorded NCAA National Meet-qualifying marks in both diving events. The three-time All-American’s score of 271.45 off the 1-meter board is a new career-high and she won the 3-meter competition with 263.40 points. Senior Chelsea Bueter (Swisher, Iowa/Prairie) was the only other event winner for the Forester women. She placed first in both the 200-butterfly (2:16.59) and 200-individual medley (2:16.38) and was the runner-up behind a Chicago swimmer in the 200-breaststroke (2:31.35). The Lake Forest men did not win any events but finished ahead of all Grinnell competitors five times. Junior Michael Ojdana (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) was second overall in the 200-freestyle (1:48.12) and 500-freestyle (4:58.63), freshman Devin McIntyre (Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah) was third in the 100-backstroke (1:00.98), and freshman Josh D’Angelo (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) was the runner-up in the 100-freestyle (49.48). The Foresters also finished ahead of the Pioneers in the final event, the 200freestyle relay. D’Angelo and Ojdana were joined on the team by senior Derek Drayer (Albuquerque, N.M./Eldorado) and junior Nick Primrose (Mayfield, Ohio/Mayfield). Lake Forest will be back in action in two weeks at Carthage College’s TYR/collegeswimming.com Classic December 1-2. Competition on both days will begin at 10:00 a.m.
