FORESTERS TAKE THIRD PLACES AT WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY INVITE
     At the Washington University Thanksgiving Invitational on Friday and Saturday, both the Lake Forest men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished in third place out of four teams. Each Lake Forest teams soundly defeated Centre and lost to Washington University and Sewanee. The difference between Centre and Lake Forest was 604-295 for the women and 525-241 for the men. In contrast, the difference between Lake Forest and second place was 745-604 for the women and 781-525 for the men. 
     Senior Rob Edgell was the top male individual point scorer for the Foresters and collected a first (100 back), second (200 free), third (200 IM), and fourth (400 IM) place finish at the Invite. Sophomore Randi Estes paced the women's team and picked up two first (200 fly and 400 IM) and two second place finishes (100 back and 100 fly). Other top performers for the Foresters included senior Kara Esicar, who notched a second place finish in the 200 breast, third place finish in the 100 breast, and fourth place mark in the 100 free. Junior Karie Schuenke took home third place finishes in the 200 back and 400 IM, and placed sixth in the 200 IM. Freshman Erin Motzer continued her early season success with second place finishes in the 200 fly and 1650 free, a third place finish in the 100 fly, and a fourth place result in the 500 free. Freshman diver Dana Tate won both the one- and three-meter diving events.
     Top three finishes in the relay races were claimed by Lake Forest teams entered in the women's 400 medley, men's 400 medley, women's 400 free, men's 400 free, women's 200 medley, men's 200 medley, and men's 200 free. Each of those units claimed third place finishes.
