Bueter Perfect as Forester Women Finish 2nd at Washington University
She sets 2 LF and 1 pool record in four individual victories

Chelsea Bueter scored 96.5 points to lead the Lake Forest women.
ST. LOUIS, MO - Coach Alec Webster has a lot to smile about after his teams' annual trip to the Washington University Invitational in St. Louis last weekend (November 22-23). In what he calls the best of his five trips to this meet, both the men's and women's teams swam well and showed great team unity. An outstanding performance by first-year swimmer Chelsea Bueter (Swisher, IA/Prairie) helped secure the women's second-place finish (734.50 points), while a determined but outnumbered men's team scored 308 points and was edged out of fourth place by just 7.5 points. The Washington University women and the University of Missouri-Rolla men claimed the championship of their respective meets.

Bueter's performance was a record setting one for the Foresters. Four victories, in the 100-Fly (1:00.12), 200-IM (2:11.75), 200-Breast (2:25.71), and 400-IM (4:38.32), kept her undefeated in individual events this season. She set new school records in both the 200-IM and the 200-Breaststroke and a new pool record in the 200-Breaststroke. All four performances were national qualifying B-cut times.

A strong supporting cast was led by three sophomores who placed in the top six in all four of their individual events. Marie Pool (Redding, CA/Central Valley) swam the 100-yard freestyle in 55.79, good for second place, and finished third in the 50-yard freestyle (25.66). Genia Lindsey (Albuquerque, NM/Sandia) added two third-place swims in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:33.68) and the 1650-Free (19:04.63). The best of Erin Colwell's (Northfield, MN/Northfield) top-six finishes was a third in the 200-yard backstroke (2:22.98).

The Forester men's team was led by senior Brady Lowdermilk (Parker, CO/Regis), who tallied 72.5 points in seven races and finished in the top 10 in each of his four individual events. He was the runner-up in the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.07) and third-best in the 100-Back (56.76). Sophomore Aaron Koop (Newton, KS/Newton) added 45.5 points with three top-ten individual performances and contributions to two top-five relay finishes. He swam the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:25.27 to place sixth.

Other top-ten efforts came from senior Jeremy Koop (Newton, KS/Newton) in the 200-yard breaststroke, senior Aaron Lawlor (Vernon Hills, IL/Libertyville) in the 200-Back and 100-Fly, and freshman Jonathan D'Angelo (Ann Arbor, MI/Ann Arbor) in the 200-Fly.

Next up for the Foresters is the Wheaton College Invite on December 5 and 6. It will be the teams' final competition of the semester. After the holiday break they will head to Tempe, Arizona, for their annual training trip.
