Tammy Hanke Parrott '90

Tammy Hanke grew up in Arlington Heights , Illinois , and graduated from Prospect High School . She was a member of the softball team as well as the National Honor Society.

Hanke enrolled at Lake Forest College in the fall of 1986 and made a significant impact on the softball team her freshman season. She earned All-Midwest Athletic Conference for Women North Division honors that year and was named the team's Most Valuable Player. As a sophomore she helped lead the Foresters to a 14-11 record and the program's first conference championship. The squad's 18 victories the next year were, at that time, the highest single-season total in the program's history. Hanke earned all-conference and team MVP honors again her junior and senior seasons and finished her career among the program's all-time leaders with 78 runs scored, 85 base hits, 57 walks, and 22 stolen bases. Lake Forest won 52 games from 1987-90, more than in any previous four-year span in team history.

After graduating from the College in 1990 with a double-major in business and psychology, Hanke began working in the direct marketing industry. At the time of her induction she held the position of senior business analyst.

She lists her husband Chip and daughters Victoria and Emily as her greatest lifetime achievements.
