Amy Krueger Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Senior helped lead team to runner-up finish at MWC Tourney

Amy Krueger had a team-high 42 kills over the weekend.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College volleyball player Amy Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (November 11) for her contributions to Lake Forest’s 2-1 record and second-place finish at the Midwest Conference Championship Tournament last weekend (November 5-6).

Krueger led the team with 19 kills in its five-game quarterfinal victory over Beloit College. She also added 20 digs and three assists in the match.

In the Foresters’ four-game semifinal triumph over top-seeded Ripon College, Krueger again led the squad with 16 kills. Her 19 digs were second on the team and she also chipped in two blocks and an ace.

Finally, in the championship match loss to St. Norbert College, she finished off a fine career with seven kills and a dozen digs.

Krueger led the 2004 Foresters with 381 kills, the fifth-highest total in school history. She also ranked second with 519 digs, the program’s fourth-best mark. She finished her career ranked second in school history with 1,434 digs, seventh with 125 aces, and ninth with 729 kills.

Forester Athletes of the Week are chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
