Foresters 0-2 on Road Trip After Five-Game Loss at Illinois College
Team falls to fourth place in South Division
  

Jenny Lackey led the team in assists for the 1st time this year.
JACKSONVILLE, IL - The Forester volleyball team started the week on Tuesday (October 8) with a five-game victory over the 11th-ranked team in the nation but finished it with a pair of Midwest Conference South Division losses. Saturday's (October 12) defeat was at Illinois College, where the home team won in five games (30-16, 31-29, 27-30, 26-30, 15-8). The divisional loss was only the second for Lake Forest since 1998, with the other coming the night before at Monmouth.

Juniors Jenna Harper (St. Louis, MO/Clayton) and Lizmarie Davila (Carpentersville, IL/Kelvyn Park) each tallied a dozen kills to lead the Foresters. Harper's hitting percentage was .321 and she added three aces and six blocks (2 solo). Davila had four blocks and hit .526 for the match, raising her hitting percentage for the season to .377. 

Both Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) twins played a large role in the team's comeback effort. Amy led the squad with 19 digs while Andrea recorded 20 assists and four aces. Freshman Jenny Lackey (Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence North) had 21 assists to lead Lake Forest for the first time this season.

The Foresters will be back in action at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday (October 15) at Carthage College. Lake Forest's overall record is 13-9 and the team will put its 4-3 MWC mark on the line on Friday (October 18) at home against Knox College.
