Jenny Anderson Earns MWC Performer of the Week Honors
Senior broke single-match digs record on Friday

Jenny Anderson is a three-time MWC Performer of the Week.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Forester volleyball player Jenny Anderson (Sebastopol, CA/El Molino) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week Tuesday (October 21). She led the Foresters to a pair of MWC road victories over the weekend (October 17-18). The team, which is currently on an 11-match winning streak, is now 14-8 overall and 6-2 in MWC play.

Lake Forest outlasted Knox College in five games (30-23, 28-30, 19-30, 30-23, 15-6) on Friday. Anderson set a new school record with 30 digs in the match. She already owned the program's best marks for digs in a career (she now has 1,197) and season (405 in 2001). The senior captain also added 13 kills and a pair of aces.

The Foresters won at Grinnell College in three games (30-24, 30-26, 30-21) on Saturday. Anderson led all players with 13 kills and added a dozen more digs.

Anderson ranks second on the 2003 team with 237 kills and 35 aces and third with 274 digs. In addition to being the school's all-time leader in digs, she is second in kills with 1,267 and needs just 23 more to match the record (1,290) set by Stephanie Reinboldt '02. With 186 career aces, Anderson trails only Sarah Frantz '01 in the program's record books in that category. Frantz pounded out 209 in her four years at the school.

Anderson's Performer of the Week honor was the second in a row for Lake Forest and it was the third time in her career that she won the award. Anderson earned the honor once during her Second Team All-MWC sophomore season and once last year en route to a First Team selection.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors.
