Anderson Sets School Record for Career Digs in Victory at Aurora
Foresters win in four games
  

Jenny Anderson is Lake Forest's all-time leader in digs.
AURORA, IL - The Forester volleyball team extended its winning streak to four matches Friday (October 3) with a four-game triumph (28-30, 30-23, 30-16, 30-28) at Aurora University. Lake Forest is now 7-8 this season while Aurora fell to 4-19.

Senior outside hitter Jenny Anderson (Sebastopol, CA/El Molino) led the Foresters with 14 kills and added 15 digs, two blocks, and a pair of aces. She now has 1,089 digs in her career, 11 more than the previous school record set by Leslie Boyle '02. Anderson is also closing in on the school record for kills in a career. She has 1,193 and needs just 97 more to catch Stephanie Reinboldt '02.

Fellow senior Stephanie Metzger (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) led the team with 23 digs and three aces and added a dozen kills. She is Lake Forest's leader this year in both kills and digs.

Four other Foresters reached double figures in either kills or digs on Friday. Senior Jenna Harper (St. Louis, MO/Clayton) and freshman Janelle Balcerzak (Milwaukee, WI/Pius XI) each had 10 kills while junior Amy Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) and sophomore Meghan Miller (Williams Bay, WI/Williams Bay) recorded 16 and 15 digs, respectively. Junior setter Andrea Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) tallied 37 assists.

Lake Forest will begin a busy week on Tuesday (October 7) when it takes on Carthage College at home at 7:00 p.m. The team will also host Midwest Conference foe Illinois College on Thursday (October 9) and will play three times in the Forester Invitational on Saturday (October 11).
