LAKE FOREST, IL - Visiting Elmhurst College, the fourth-ranked team in the Midwest Region (NCAA Coaches poll) and the 16th-ranked team in the nation (American Volleyball Coaches Association), defeated Lake Forest College, 15-9, 15-10, 15-8, on Thursday (October 5th). Elmhurst (16-5) won their second straight match and for the 16th time this season. Lake Forest (11-5) got 17 kills from junior Stephanie Reinboldt (McHenry, IL/Marian Central Catholic). Reinboldt finished with a .375 hitting percentage. Other major contributors for the Foresters included Jenny Anderson (Sebastopol, CA/El Molino) with 13 kills and 19 digs, Sarah Frantz (Lake Geneva, WI/Badger) with 42 assists and 11 digs, and Chrissy Laurine (Richmond, IL/Richmond-Burton), who added six kills and 18 digs. Lake Forest will host the Forester Invitational this Saturday (October 7th). Other competing schools include St. Norbert College, North Park University, Beloit College, Concordia University, and St. Mary's College. St. Norbert and Beloit are fellow Midwest Conference members.
