Two Wins and Two Losses for the Foresters at IWU Classic
Both victories came against MWC schools
  

Jenna Harper had 33 kills and hit .409 on the weekend.
BLOOMINGTON, IL - The Lake Forest College volleyball team played four times over the weekend (September 12-13) at the Illinois Wesleyan University Classic. Friday evening the Foresters fell to UW-River Falls (36-34, 30-11, 30-17), the 10th-ranked team in the nation, and defeated Beloit College (30-17, 30-26, 19-30, 30-27). On Saturday Lake Forest triumphed over Illinois College (30-18, 30-27, 30-25) before dropping its match to the College of Mount St. Joseph (20-30, 30-19, 30-20, 30-11), the #8 program in the country.

Senior Jenny Anderson (Sebastopol, CA/El Molino) led the team with nine kills against River Falls. Fellow senior Stephanie Metzger (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) had 14 digs and junior Andrea Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) recorded 20 assists.

Junior DeAnna Bauer (Naperville, IL/Naperville North) and senior Jenna Harper (St. Louis, MO/Clayton) each had 10 kills to lead the team in the victory over Beloit. Junior Amy Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) had 11 digs while her sister Andrea tallied 38 assists. Bauer and Andrea Krueger each added four aces.

Harper pounded 14 kills with just one error against Illinois College. Anderson added 13 kills and 11 digs. Sophomore Meghan Miller (Williams Bay, WI/Williams Bay) led the squad with 16 digs and Amy Krueger matched Anderson with 11. Andrea Krueger had 34 assists.

Finally, in the match against Mount St. Joseph, Metzger recorded team highs with 10 kills and 19 digs. Amy Krueger had 11 digs while Andrea registered 31 assists.

Harper, who posted a .409 hitting percentage on the weekend, joined Anderson for the team lead with 33 kills in the four matches combined. Metzger had 43 digs and Andrea Krueger finished with 123 assists and eight aces.

Lake Forest will continue its difficult schedule on Tuesday (September 16) at 7:00 p.m. when the team hosts UW-Whitewater. The Warhawks are ranked third in the country in the latest coaches poll. The Foresters will also play on Thursday (September 18) at Dominican University at 7:00 p.m.
