Season
Junior Jenna Harper (St. Louis, MO/Clayton) had the best match of her career with 21 kills against just three errors in 39 attempts (.462 hitting percentage). She also added a team-high seven blocks, three of them solos. Junior Jenny Anderson (Sebastopol, CA/El Molino) and senior Kelly McNiff (Maryland Heights, MO/Pattonville) each contributed 15 kills in the match, which lasted more than two hours. McNiff's kills total was particularly impressive considering she had only two errors and 21 attempts (.619 hitting percentage). Leading the team in digs was sophomore Amy Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) with 26. Anderson also added 19 digs to her stat line. The Foresters used three setters in the match. Sophomore DeAnna Bauer (Naperville, IL/Naperville North) started the match, saw action in all five games, and led the team with 27 assists. Sophomore Andrea Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) played parts of the first three games and totaled 19 assists. Freshman Jenny Lackey (Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence North) played in the final two and tallied 12. The next match for Lake Forest will be on Tuesday (September 10) when it travels to Wheaton College to take on both Wheaton (5:00 p.m.) and Midwest Conference foe Carroll College (non-conference match at 7:30 p.m.). Next weekend (September 13-14), the Foresters will be at the Illinois Wesleyan University Classic and will play against Lakeland College, Illinois College, Benedictine University, and host Illinois Wesleyan University.
