December 14th, 2000 Contact: Scott Rucker, SID Alison Grubbs Named Forester Athlete of the Week
On Saturday (December 9th), Grubbs helped the Foresters to an 82-75 come-from-behind victory at Illinois Wesleyan University. She scored 30 points in the game, 15 in each half. She shot 10-of-18 from the field, 4-of-7 from three-point range, 6-of-7 from the free throw line and added 4 steals. Grubbs is Lake Forest's leading scorer on the season, averaging 22.4 points per game. She has led the team in scoring in five of their seven games so far this season and the Foresters are 4-1 in those games. She also averages 4.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 4.1 steals per contest.
