Kristy Freeman Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Senior matched one school record, set another on Tuesday

Freeman has already made 14 three-pointers this season.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s basketball player Kristy Freeman (Palatine, IL/Palatine) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (December 2) for her contributions to the team’s 97-86 victory at the University of Chicago Tuesday (November 30) night.

Freeman scored a career-high 26 points in the game on 9-for-9 shooting from the floor. She tied a school record with seven three-point field goals and established a new one by shooting 7-for-7 from beyond the arc. The previous record for three-pointers made in a game without a miss was five and she was just one shy of the NCAA Division III mark of eight. In addition, Freeman dished out three assists in the game and did not commit a turnover.

The senior guard leads the Foresters in scoring so far this season with 15.0 points per game. She is shooting 51.2% from the floor and has made 14 of 24 attempts (.583) from three-point range.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
