Ashley Cretacci Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Senior led the team with 16 points and eight rebounds

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College women’s basketball player Ashley Cretacci (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (December 4) for her performance at UW-Oshkosh the previous Saturday (November 29).

Cretacci, a senior forward, led all players in the 43-41 Oshkosh victory with a career-high 16 points. She shot 5-for-9 from the field and made all six of her free throw attempts in the contest and added a team-high eight rebounds. She scored 12 of her 16 points in the second half, helping the Foresters erase a 10-point deficit. She tied the game at 41 on a layup with 1:25 to play but a pair of Titan free throws with 1.1 seconds left on the clock provided the winning points.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
