LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s basketball player Kristy Freeman (Palatine, IL/Palatine) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week Tuesday (December 7) for her contributions to the Foresters’ two victories during the last seven days.

Freeman scored a career-high 26 points and shot 9-for-9 from the floor in last Tuesday’s (November 30) 97-86 victory at the University of Chicago. She tied one single-game school record with seven three-pointers and set another for connecting the most times from three-point range without a miss.

On Saturday (December 4), Freeman tied for game-high honors with 17 points and made each of her six field goal attempts, including five from beyond the three-point arc.

In addition to averaging 21.5 points per game during the week, the senior guard also pulled down four rebounds, dished out seven assists and committed just one turnover. She has now connected on 13 consecutive three-point field goal attempts, tying the NCAA Division III record.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information directors.
