Alison Grubbs Named Women's DIII News Player of the Month for January
  

Alison Grubbs scored 200 pts. in the month of January.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Senior women's basketball player Alison Grubbs (Cullom, IL/Tri-Point) has been named the national Player of the Month for January by Women's DIII News. The publication is a monthly newsletter covering Division-III women's basketball.

Grubbs finished January as the Foresters' and the Midwest Conference's leading scorer. Her 22.3 points per game also ranked her 10th in the nation in that category.

Lake Forest won all nine of its games in the month of January, raising its overall record to 13-3 and its conference mark to 10-0. Grubbs scored exactly 200 points in those nine games for an average of 22.2 points per contest. She also averaged 4.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.4 steals per game during January.

Grubbs put an exclamation point on the month with her performance in the Foresters' 82-61 victory at second-place Carroll College on Friday, January 26th. She shot 10-for-12 from the field, including a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range, and made 15 of 18 free throws to account for her career-high 39 points. She also added a game-high 8 rebounds to go with 2 assists and three steals.
