Kristy Freeman Named MWC Performer of the Week
Senior set school record for three-pointers in a season

Kristy Freeman is ranked among the national leaders in three-point field goal percentage.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s basketball player Kristy Freeman (Palatine, IL/Palatine) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week Tuesday (February 22) for her contributions to a pair of Forester victories.

On Wednesday (February 16), Lake Forest clinched a spot in the four-team Midwest Conference Championship Tournament with a 65-42 win at home over Illinois College. Freeman led all players in the game with 18 points and added four assists. She shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and broke the program’s single-season record with her 61st three-pointer of the year.

Freeman scored 14 points on Saturday (February 19) in a 74-72 triumph at Grinnell College. She knocked down three more three-pointers and chipped in with five rebounds and a pair of assists.

The senior guard currently leads the team in scoring at 13.4 points per contest and is ranked among the top five in the nation with a .474 three-point field goal percentage.
