LAKE FOREST, IL - For the second consecutive year, Lake Forest College senior guard Alison Grubbs (Cullom, IL/Tri-Point High School) has been named a finalist for the Jostens Trophy. Ten female and ten male finalists were selected from across the country. The award recognizes the outstanding Division III men's and women's basketball players in the nation and is presented to athletes that not only excel on the court, but also show outstanding qualities in the classroom and prove to be invaluable assets to their communities.

Both the men's and women's award winners will be notified on March 6th and the presentations of the awards will occur in Salem, VA on March 15th.

This season, Grubbs is leading her team and the Midwest Conference in scoring at 21.0 points per game. She is currently 17th in the nation in scoring and also leads the Foresters in assists and steals. The 1999-2000 national three-point shooting champion is also accurate from the free throw line, where she ranks 13th in the nation. Lake Forest has compiled an 80-16 (.833) overall record during her four seasons with the team. For the second straight year, the Foresters have qualified for the NCAA Tournament. They will host Ohio Wesleyan University on February 28th and the winner will advance to play at Hope College on March 3rd.
