Liebl and Durante Earn Second Team All-Midwest Conference Honors
Both players averaged more than 12 points per game

LAKE FOREST, IL - The 2005-06 All-Midwest Conference women’s basketball teams were released Tuesday (February 28) and a pair of Lake Forest players made the list. Devon Liebl (Brookfield, WI/Milwaukee Pius XI) and Andrea Durante (Bloomingdale, IL/Lake Park) were both Second Team selections.

Durante led the Foresters with 12.7 points per game this season and averaged 13.5 points per contest during the team’s 16-game league schedule. The junior forward also ranked second on the squad with 5.6 rebounds per game and fifth with 24 steals. Durante scored at least 10 points in all but five of the team’s 23 games. In addition, she at least tied for the team lead in points nine times and rebounds seven times.

Liebl, who earned First Team honors last season, ranked second on the Foresters with 12.2 points and third with 5.0 rebounds per game. The senior guard was also third in assists and blocked shots and fourth in steals. She scored in double figures in 16 of her 22 games and at least tied for team-high honors in points eight times. She posted three double-doubles on the year and finished her career with seven.

The Foresters have had at least two all-conference players each of the last 21 seasons.
