Foresters Perfect 4-0 in MWC After 84-28 Win Over Beloit
Largest margin of victory since 1983

Bridget Berg scored a career-high 11 points in Friday's win over Beloit.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College women's basketball team continued both its winning streaks Friday (January 12th) when it defeated Beloit College by a score of 84-28. The win gives the Foresters six straight victories overall and ten in a row against Midwest Conference opponents, dating back to last season.

Lake Forest's 84 points were divided among 12 different players, led for the second straight game by sophomore forward Katie McCants (Menasha, WI/Menasha) with a game-high 17. Senior forward Kim Magee (Lake Oswego, OR/Lake Oswego) scored a season-high 15 and led the team with a season and game-high 9 rebounds. Junior forward Bridget Berg (Naperville, IL/Benet Academy) scored a career-high 11 points and senior guard Alison Grubbs (Cullom, IL/Tri-Point) also scored in double-figures with 10.

The 28 points allowed are the least by a Forester team in four years and the 56-point margin of victory is the largest for Lake Forest since an 82-17 victory on December 3, 1983.

Beloit scored only 9 points after intermission and shot 24.4% from the field for the game. Lake Forest shot 54.2% from the floor, had 21 steals, forced 37 turnovers and out-rebounded the Buccaneers 50-26.

The Foresters are now 7-3 overall on the season and are alone in first place with a 4-0 record in the Midwest Conference. Their schedule allows little time to savor this win, though, as they must travel to Ripon College tomorrow (January 13th) for a 2:00 tip-off against another MWC foe.
