For the second straight game, five Foresters scored in double figures. After scoring a career-high 15 points on Saturday at Knox College, senior guard Susan Hedrick (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) surpassed that mark with a game-high 18 on Tuesday. She knocked down four three-pointers in the game and is 7-for-13 from beyond the arc in her last two contests. Senior forward Ashley Cretacci (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) was next on the squad with 15 points, junior center Lisa Nassin (Evergreen Park, Ill./Evergreen Park) had 13, junior forward Claire Schmidt (Kankakee, Ill./Bishop McNamara) finished with 11, and junior guard Kate Grunauer (Chicago, Ill./Marist) added 10. Schmidt also led the squad with eight rebounds. Grunauer recorded five steals and tied junior guard Tracy Rainey (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park) for team-high honors with four assists.

Lake Forest shot 43.7 percent from the field, 4-for-14 from three-point range, and 17-for-25 from the foul line. Grinnell was held to just 34.5 percent shooting from the floor and the Pioneers were 7-for-24 on three-pointers and 9-for-16 on free throws. The Foresters out-rebounded their guests 44-39 and forced 26 turnovers while committing just 13.

Grinnell scored the game's first points on a three-pointer and held Lake Forest scoreless for nearly two-and-a-half minutes to start the contest. The Foresters, however, used a 14-3 run to open up an eight-point lead and outscored the visitors 20-3 over a six-minute span later in the first half to pull ahead by 22. The home team held a 45-24 lead at halftime.

The Foresters extended the margin to as many as 27 points early in the second half before Grinnell started chipping away at the deficit and traied by just 14 (65-51) with 6:25 remaining in the contest. Lake Forest scored the next 15 points to put the game out of reach.
