Devon Liebl Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior guard has led team in rebounding five straight games

 Devon Liebl averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds in three games.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s basketball player Devon Liebl (Milwaukee, WI/Milwaukee Pius XI) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (January 20) for her contributions to Lake Forest’s 2-1 record over the last seven days.

Liebl led all players with 15 points in the Foresters’ 55-54 triumph at St. Norbert College last Friday (January 14). She also pulled down nine rebounds and added four assists and a pair of steals.

The following afternoon, in a 60-59 loss at Carroll College, Liebl was again the game’s leading scorer with 15 points. She shot 6-for-10 from the field in the game and 3-for-5 from three-point range. She also chipped in with five rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

Finally, on Tuesday (January 18), Liebl fell just short of scoring in double figures with nine points but lead the Foresters in rebounds for the fifth straight game with seven.

Liebl finished the week with averages of 13.3 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and a steal while shooting 48.4% from the field and 44.4% from three-point range.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
