Jackie Slaats has her Foresters back in the nation's top 25.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College women's basketball team won three games last week and returned to the D3hoops.com national rankings. The web site, which ranks the top 25 NCAA Division III programs, put the 14-1 Foresters 25th on its most recent listing on Tuesday (January 28).

Two weeks ago, Lake Forest was ranked 24th but lost 62-61 on a buzzer-beating three-pointer at Lawrence University on January 18. After being among the "others receiving votes" last week, the team won three Midwest Conference games and climbed back into the top 25.

The Foresters are in a three-way tie at the top of the MWC standings with a 7-1 league record. On the national level, they are one of 14 teams who have yet to lose for the second time this year. There are still five undefeated squads, including Washington University, the top-ranked team.

Statistically, Lake Forest is listed 15th in the national leaders with 76.5 points scored per game. The team's scoring margin of +22.3 points per game is the 6th-highest mark in the country and its 33.3% field goal percentage defense ranks 20th.

This weekend the team (January 31-February 1) will play at St. Norbert College on Friday and at Beloit on Saturday. St. Norbert is one of the three 7-1 teams in the MWC while Beloit's league record is 1-7.
