During the eight-team University of California-San Diego Holiday Tournament, in which the Foresters compiled a 2-1 record and finished in third place, Grubbs led all tournament participants in scoring with 61 points.

During the 66-41 win over WPI on Tuesday (December 28th), Grubbs tallied 17 points on 7 of 13 shooting. She also added 4 assists and 5 steals.

On Wednesday (December 29th), Grubbs scored 24 points and added 6 rebounds and 4 steals during a 79-59 loss to Scranton, the eventual tournament champion.

During Thursday's (December 30th) third-place game versus Puget Sound, Grubbs poured in 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
