Katie McCants Named Second Team All-Region by D3hoops
Senior led Foresters to best record ever
  

Katie McCants was a 2nd Team All-Central Region selection.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest women's basketball player Katie McCants (Menasha, WI/Menasha) was named to the D3hoops.com All-Central Region Second Team Wednesday (March 19). The web site lists five players on each of its three all-region teams. There are eight regions in the nation.

McCants was the Foresters' leading scorer for much of the season and finished with 12.6 points per game. She led the squad with 7.6 rebounds per contest and was fourth on the team with 39 assists.

Lake Forest posted a 22-3 record in 2002-03, the most wins in the program's history, and has won 81 games (against just 19 losses) during McCants's career, the most of any four-year span in school history. She also helped the Foresters claim three Midwest Conference championships and make three appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

Individually, McCants ranks fourth in school history with 1,075 career points and fifth with 550 rebounds. In addition, her .516 career field goal percentage is the third-highest mark in the program's history.
