McCants and Clerkin Earn First Team All-Conference Honors
Forwards both ranked among league's best in scoring and rebounding
  

 Forwards Katie McCants (#42) and Shannon Clerkin (#52) were two of the top scorers and rebounders in the MWC this year.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Midwest Conference released its all-conference teams for women's basketball Monday (March 3), and Lake Forest had a pair of players make the list.

Senior forward Katie McCants (Menasha, WI/Menasha) was named to the First Team for the second straight year. She was also a second-team selection as a sophomore. McCants was eighth in the MWC in scoring with 13.7 points per game in 16 league contests. The Foresters' captain also ranked third with 8.1 rebounds per game and seventh with a .500 field goal percentage.

McCants finished her career ranked fourth in school history with 1,075 points, fifth with 550 rebounds, and third with a .516 field goal percentage. The Foresters were 81-19 during her four seasons, the best record of any four-year span in school history.

Sophomore forward Shannon Clerkin (Barneveld, WI/Barneveld) was also named to the First Team. She completed the MWC season ranked one spot ahead of McCants in both scoring (seventh with 13.9 ppg.) and rebounding (second with 8.3 rpg.). Clerkin was also third with a .552 field goal percentage and second with 18 blocked shots.

The team's leading scorer this season had 26 blocks in all games, tied for the third-highest total in school history. Her 48 career blocked shots after just two seasons also rank third and her .532 career field goal percentage is the second-best mark.

Eleven players were named to the First Team and six earned Second Team honors.
