GRUBBS GARNERS SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICA HONORS

Lake Forest College junior guard Alison Grubbs (Cullom, IL/Tri-Point High School) has been named to the 1999-2000 Division III Basketball Online All-American team. Grubbs was a second team selection after grabbing Honorable Mention honors from DIII Hoops last season.

The honor is the latest in a long line of awards she has received this season. In 1999-2000, Grubbs has been named Midwest Conference Player of the Year (the second such award of her career), GTE/CoSIDA College Division Women's Basketball All-District V First Team, Josten's Trophy finalist (one of ten in the nation), First Team All-Conference, Academic All-Conference, two-time Midwest Region Player of the Week (Columbus Multimedia), two-time MWC Player of the Week (eight such awards in her career), two All-Tournament Teams (Forester Tip-Off and UC-San Diego Holiday), two-time Forester Athlete of the Week, and Honorable Mention All-American Farm Team.

Grubbs helped the Foresters to a 21-4 overall record and the Midwest Conference Championship. It was the fourth MWC title for Lake Forest. The team also advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second time in school history.
