FORESTERS NET THREE ON ALL-MWC FIRST TEAM
Three Lake Forest women's basketball players - Alison Grubbs, Melissa Schneider, and Addi Murphy -- were named to the All-Midwest Conference first team.  No other team had more than two players represented on the first team.  The Foresters won the MWC regular season title with a 15-1 record before being upset by Illinois College, 66-65, in the semi-finals of the MWC Championship tournament.
Grubbs, from Cullom, IL (Tri-Point High School), was the only sophomore to make the first team.  Grubbs, last season's MWC South Division Player of the Year, averaged a league-high 19.1 points per game in conference, along with 3.1 assists.  She shot 39.8% from the three-point arc and 84.0% from the free throw line.  Grubbs was named the Conference Player of the Week four times, as well as, to the Division III Basketball Online National Team of the Week twice this season.
Schneider, a junior from Arlington Heights, IL (John Hersey High School), averaged 11.4 points per game and shot 31.2% from the three-point line in MWC games.
Murphy, a junior from Chillicothe, IL (Illinois Valley Central High School), recovered from a broken wrist in December to average 9.4 points and a team-high 8.1 rebounds per game.
