Foresters Shoot 55.8% and Win by 50 Points

RIVER FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College women's basketball team coasted to a 73-23 victory at Concordia University (IL) Tuesday (November 20th) night. The Foresters have started the season with three straight wins for the tenth time in the last 14 years.

Although no Lake Forest player scored more than eight points or played more than 17 minutes, all 15 that got in the game made at least one field goal and played a minimum of 11 minutes. 

Senior guard Jenni Klusman (New Berlin, WI/New Berlin West) and sophomore guard Tiffany Rudak (Tinley Park, IL/Victor J. Andrew) each scored eight points and combined to shoot 5-for-7 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Sophomore guard Sherry Wagner (Chicago, IL/Mother McAuley) led both teams with four assists and junior forward Katie McCants (Menasha, WI/Menasha) pulled down a game-high six rebounds.

The Foresters connected on 29 of 52 field goal attempts (55.8%) while limiting Concordia to just nine made field goals in 45 attempts (20.0%). No Cougar scored more than four points in the game.

Lake Forest will play in the UW-Oshkosh Holiday Classic Tournament this weekend (November 23-24th). On Friday evening (8:00 pm), they will take on North Park University. The winner will play the winner of the UW-Oshkosh-Edgewood College game on Saturday at 3:00 pm. The losers of both games will face each other at 1:00 pm. The Foresters' next home game will be next Saturday (December 1st) at 3:00 pm.
