Lisa Nassin Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Sophomore leads the team in scoring after three contests

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College women’s basketball player Lisa Nassin (Evergreen Park, Ill./Evergreen Park) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (November 22) for her performance in the team’s three victories in the previous seven days.

Nassin, a sophomore center, scored 11 points and pulled down a game-high eight rebounds in the season-opener on Friday (November 16), a 78-73 victory over visiting Elmhurst College in the semifinals of the Forester Tip-Off Tournament. Lake Forest defeated Concordia University Chicago 57-46 in the following afternoon’s championship game and Nassin led the team with a dozen points.

The Foresters won 87-47 at Milwaukee School of Engineering Tuesday (November 20) night and Nassin led the visitors with a career-high 19 points and four assists.

Nassin averaged 14 points and nearly five rebounds in the three games combined while shooting 67.7 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the free throw line. She also added five assists, three blocked shots, and five steals.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
