MADISON, WI - The Lake Forest College women’s basketball team rebounded from its first loss of the 2005-06 season, an 83-70 decision at UW-Whitewater on Saturday (November 26), to record a 62-53 victory at Edgewood College Sunday (November 27) afternoon. The Foresters are now 4-1 on the year. The win raised Whitewater’s record to 3-1 and Edgewood fell to 0-2.

Both teams finished the game shooting approximately 40% from the floor and each made four of 12 three-point field goal attempts. Whitewater’s edge came at the free throw line where the Warhawks made 27 of their 43 attempts. Lake Forest shot 18-for-25 from the charity stripe. Whitewater held a 42-29 edge in rebounds and committed six fewer turnovers (23) than the Foresters (29).

Durante and senior guard Devon Liebl (Brookfield, WI/Milwaukee Pius XI) shared team-high honors on Sunday with 12 points apiece.
