W. Roland Dunsmore '13
Growing up in DuBois, Pennsylvania, Roland attended DuBois High School and played football and basketball.

Entering Lake Forest College in 1909, Roland played four years of baseball and football and competed in track for two years.  He was captain of the 1913 baseball team and won the Coffin Cross Country Cup.  A member of the Garrick Players, he was also an assistant physical education instructor.  Roland was class president his senior year, treasurer his junior year and was a member of the Prom Committee and Digamma Alpha Upsilon.

Graduating with a biology and physics major, Roland took a job at the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut where he served as an Athletics Master.  He then went to work for Vermont Marble Company in Vermont before serving in World War I.  Following the war, Roland worked with Southwest Cotton Company in Arizona before owning and operating the Dunsmore Ranch in Los Angeles, California.
