Robyn Slater's school record for goals in a season is now 22.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College women's hockey team hosted St. Mary's University (MN) Tuesday (February 12th) night to open the final series of the season for the Foresters. The visiting Cardinals, behind a seven-goal second period, knocked off the Foresters 8-2.

Lake Forest scored first at the 6:24 mark of the initial period on junior forward Robyn Slater's (Granite City, IL) unassisted power play goal. The only score for either team in the period extended Slater's school record for goals in a season to 21.

Slater struck again less than a minute-and-a-half into the second period, with forward Robyn Shea (St. John's, Newfoundland) earning the assist, the fifth of her freshman campaign.

St. Mary's responded with seven unanswered goals in the second period and added one more in the third.

The 6-16-1 Foresters and the 16-5-1 Cardinals will play again Wednesday (February 13th) night at 5:00 in the final game of the season for Lake Forest.
