Courtney Bean Named First Team All-NCHA, Three Others Honorable Mention
Kim Herring, Melissa Kravich, and Jamie Sauer earn honorable mention

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association released it All-NCHA Teams on Thursday (February 26) and four Lake Forest College players made the lists. Junior Courtney Bean (Peoria, Ill./Team Illinois) earned First Team honors while junior Jamie Sauer (Eagle River, Wis./Northland Pines H.S.), sophomore Melissa Kravich (Wilmette, Ill./Gustavus Adolphus College), and freshman Kim Herring (Dover, N.H./Groton School) were Honorable Mention selections.

Bean currently has 21 points on four games and 17 assists. She tied for first among NCHA defensemen with 13 points on a goal and 12 assists during the 18-game league schedule. Her assist total was tied-for-third in the conference among all players.

Sauer has a goal and eight assists this season. Eight of her nine points have come during NCHA play, matching five others for the fourth-highest total among the league's defensemen.

Kravich, a forward, finished the regular season with a team-high 26 points on seven goals and a school record 19 assists. She ranked tied-for-eighth in the league with 17 points in NCHA games and her 14 assists were tied for first.

Herring, another forward, leads the team with 12 goals and ranks second with 21 points. Despite missing three league games, she was tied-for-sixth in the conference with nine goals during NCHA play, including six power play scores, which ranked tied-for-second.

Lake Forest enters this weekend's (February 27-March 1) six-team NCHA O'Brien Cup Tournament at UW-River Falls with an 11-13-1 overall record. The team finished the regular season with a 7-10-1 mark in NCHA play and will face off against UW-Eau Claire in the tourney's first round Friday night at 7:05. The winner will play in the semifinals on Saturday at either 3:05 p.m. or 7:05 p.m. Sunday's third-place game will begin at 12:05 p.m. and the championship will follow at 3:35 in the afternoon.
