LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women's hockey player Lindsey Wild (Inver Grove Heights, MN) was named Forester Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Foresters' split at UW-Eau Claire on Friday and Saturday (February 1-2).

In Friday's 5-3 loss to the Blugolds, the freshman forward recorded her 13th assist of the season, pulling her to within one of the school record in that category. On Saturday, Wild was involved in four of her team's six goals as the Foresters came back from a 1-4 deficit to win. She assisted on a pair of scores to set the school record for assists in a season (15) and scored two goals of her own in the 6-5 overtime victory. The first was an unassisted score early in the second period to pull Lake Forest to within two goals and the second was the game-winner with slightly more than a minute remaining in overtime. Wild was also named NCHA Player of the Week for her efforts.

Wild is tied with three other players for second on the team with five goals. Her 15 assists are nine more than the next Forester. She has scored or assisted on 16 of the team's last 26 goals.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
