Lake Forest Falls at Nation's Eighth-Ranked Team
Alyssa Wintermute records career-high 45 saves

STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The Forester women's hockey team dropped a 3-0 decision at UW-Stevens Point, the nation's eighth-ranked team, Saturday night (January 10). Lake Forest fell to 7-5-1 overall and 3-4-1 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play while the Pointers raised their overall record to 7-1-2 and league mark to 6-1-1.

Stevens Point scored its first goal of the game at the 14:30 mark of the opening period. The Pointers padded their lead 18 seconds into the second and closed out the scoring less than 10 minutes later.

Forester sophomore goaltender Alyssa Wintermute (Belmont, Ontario/St. Thomas Panthers) recorded a career-high 45 saves in the game, raising her save percentage this season to .906.

Lake Forest will host UW-Superior, which entered the weekend ranked 10th in the country, twice next weekend (January 17). The teams will play at 7:00 Friday night and Saturday afternoon's 2:00 game will be part of Lake Forest's National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
