LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College women’s hockey player Courtney DeHoey (Chatham, Ont./Bluewater Jr. Hawks) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week on Monday (January 14) for her performance in a pair of overtime games the previous two days.

DeHoey, a senior forward, scored the first goal of the Foresters’ 3-2 overtime loss to visiting Bethel University on Saturday. She also assisted on the team’s second score.

On Sunday the team skated to a 1-1 tie with UW-Stevens Point, the second-ranked team in the nation. DeHoey once again scored the game’s first goal, this time on the power play.

DeHoey leads the Foresters with 12 points on six goals and as many assists so far this season. She became the program’s all-time leader in points on November 17 and assists on January 6 and now trails the team record of 50 goals in a career by just four.

NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director. DeHoey also earned the award on November 19 of this season and twice each of the last two years.
