Lake Forest Drops a Pair at UW-Superior
Foresters fall 5-0 twice

SUPERIOR, WI - The Lake Forest College women’s hockey team dropped a pair of Northern Collegiate Hockey Association games at UW-Superior over the weekend (January 23-24). The Yellowjackets, who entered the weekend ranked sixth in the nation, defeated the Foresters 5-0 Friday night and by the same score Saturday afternoon. Lake Forest is now 2-16-1 overall and 0-10-0 in the NCHA this year. Superior raised its overall record to 14-2-1 and its league mark to 9-1-0.

After a scoreless first period on Friday, the home team lit the lamp three times in the second and twice in the third. Superior out-shot Lake Forest 53-15 in the game.

On Saturday, Superior scored a pair of goals in each of the first two periods and tacked on one more in the third. The Yellowjackets had 40 shots on goal during the game while again limiting the Foresters to 15.

Lake Forest will host UW-Stevens Point, the second-place team in the conference and seventh-ranked program in the country, next weekend (January 31-February 1). The squads will face off at 2:00 both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
