Lake Forest at .500 on the Season after Loss at Adrian
Brittany Lemke makes Forester debut in goal

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Forester women's hockey team was defeated 3-1 at Adrian College Sunday afternoon (January 25). Adrian also defeated Lake Forest 2-0 the night before. The series sweep dropped the Foresters' record on the year to 8-8-1 while the Bulldogs raised their mark to 13-5-1.

Both teams lit the lamp once in the opening period. Adrian got on the scoreboard first at 11:46. Lake Forest tied the score with 65 seconds remaining on senior Courtney Bean's (Peoria, Ill./Team Illinois) fourth goal of the season. Bean was assisted by classmate Jamie Sauer (Eagle River, Wis./Northland Pines H.S.) and freshman Jessica Dare (Whitmore Lake, Mich./Belle Tire).

The Bulldogs regained the lead at 3:54 in the second period and scored the final goal with 3:38 to play in the contest.

Sophomore goaltender Brittany Lemke (St. Charles, Ill./St. Mary's University) recorded 31 saves in her Forester debut, including 20 in the third period.

The teams will face off again at Adrian tomorrow afternoon at 2:00.
