Freshman Nicki Paquette (Moncton, NB/New Hampton School) put Lake Forest on the scoreboard at the 6:59 mark of the third period with her sixth goal of the year. Fellow freshman Lil Caligiuri (Wheaton, IL/Culver Academy) tied the score with 7:47 left in regulation off a pass from Blegen. It was Caligiuri's third goal of 2002-03.

Taylor stopped all four shots on goal in the overtime and 33 in the game. The Foresters managed 34 shots on goal in the contest, including three unsuccessful attempts in the extra period.
