DeHoey Earns Second NCHA Player of the Week Award of the Year
Sophomore had four goals and an assist in three games last week

  

DeHoey has scored twice in three of her last four games.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s hockey player Courtney DeHoey (Chatham, ON/Bluewater Jr. Hawks) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week Monday (January 9) for her performance in the Foresters’ three games in New York last week.

DeHoey, a sophomore forward, gave Lake Forest 1-0 and 2-1 leads with a pair of goals at Hamilton College on Wednesday (January 4). The Foresters were eventually defeated 5-3 in the contest.

After falling 4-0 at Utica College on Thursday (January 5), the team knocked off Elmira College, the nation’s sixth-ranked team, 3-1 on Saturday (January 7). DeHoey again scored the game’s first goal and added the eventual game winner late in the second period. She also assisted on an empty net goal that sealed the victory with 32 seconds remaining.

DeHoey currently leads the nation with 13 goals and 23 points on the season. She has scored six goals in her last four games.

Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Players of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director. DeHoey also earned the award on November 28.
