LF Takes Top-Seeded Superior to Triple OT Before Falling at NCHA Tourney

RIVER FALLS, WI - Lake Forest College fell in the first round of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Women's Division to UW-Superior by a final of 4-3 in three overtimes on Saturday (March 2nd) in River Falls, WI. 

Lake Forest (10-12-1) was the fourth seed, while Superior (18-4-0) was the top seed.

Robyn Slater (Granite City, IL) scored the Foresters' first two goals of the game and Lara Scheibner (Grosse Pointe, MI) scored with 1:53 left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

Theresa Taylor (Spartanburg, SC) stopped 63 of 67 shots on goal for LF.

Four different players scored for Superior.

Lake Forest will play UW-Stevens Point in tomorrow's consolation game, while UW-Superior will play UW-River Falls in the championship game.
