LAKE FOREST, IL - In just its second year of existence, the Lake Forest College women's hockey team is 4-0-0 after defeating Hamline University at home Saturday (November 10th) afternoon, 4-3 in overtime.

All four Forester goals came off the stick of junior forward Robyn Slater (Granite City, IL), who scored three times against Hamline less than 24 hours earlier. The seven goals on the weekend give her nine for the season and at least one in each of the team's four games. Slater's season stats include two unassisted scores, a power play goal, a short-handed goal and three game-winners.

Her first goal on Saturday came nearly 14 minutes into the second period and tied the score at 1-1. Her second score came just 18 seconds later and her third of the period and the game went in with 2:52 remaining.

Hamline scored twice after the second intermission to send the game into overtime. Slater's fourth goal ended the game with 1:17 to go in the extra frame, which would have gone five minutes had neither team scored.

Freshman forward Lindsey Wild (Inver Grove Heights, MN) assisted on two of the goals, giving her a team-high 4 assists on the year. Freshman Nichole Greco (Franklin Park, IL), Michelle Pickles (Crown Point, IN) and Wini Alves (Lake Forest, IL) also picked up one assist each.

Lake Forest will begin its Northern Collegiate Hockey Association season next weekend (November 16-17th) at UW-Superior. Friday's game will begin at 7:30 pm and the teams will play again Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm.
