Melissa Kravich Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior recorded a pair of three-point performances

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College women’s hockey player Melissa Kravich (Wilmette, Ill./Gustavus Adolphus College) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (November 19) for her performance in a pair of victories at Augsburg College the previous weekend (November 14-15).

Kravich, a junior forward, assisted on the team’s first goal of Saturday afternoon’s 6-1 triumph, scored the second, and recorded another assist on the fourth. The goal was her first of the year and the three-point game matched her career-high.

The Foresters prevailed 6-1 again on Sunday and Kravich posted another three-point game, the fifth of her career. This time all three points came on power play goals in the third period. It was her first career hat trick and moved her into third place on the team with seven points in six games this season.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
